At The Analog Letter Studio™, handwritten letters are treated as a form of care. Each piece is written by hand on archival paper using a fountain pen, then mailed directly to its recipient.
Services are available as individual commissions or recurring correspondence for those who want a steady, human presence in their communication.
A handwritten notecard is ideal for brief, thoughtful messages: thank-yous, acknowledgments, and moments that call for restraint. Each notecard is written by hand on premium cotton stock using a fountain pen, paired with a matching envelope, and mailed directly to your recipient.
This format works best for messages of one to four sentences. The emphasis is on clarity, tone, and follow-through rather than length.
Best for:
Thank-you notes, introductions, acknowledgments, personal follow-ups
This commission reflects the time, materials, and care required to produce a single handcrafted note from start to finish. Each notecard is written by hand, prepared, and mailed individually.
The A5 letter offers space for a more developed message while remaining intimate and readable. Each letter is handwritten on Japanese fountain-pen paper, chosen for its smoothness and ink performance, then paired with a matching archival envelope and mailed with care.
This format allows for short paragraphs or a brief reflection, making it suitable for personal correspondence that benefits from nuance and continuity.
Best for:
Personal letters, client appreciation, meaningful updates, relationship maintenance
Pricing reflects the expanded writing time, archival materials, and careful handling required for a longer handwritten message. Each A5 letter is composed, reviewed, and mailed as a complete, finished piece.
The A4 letter is the most expansive format offered by the Studio. It provides ample space for longer messages that require structure, clarity, and emotional range. Each letter is handwritten on Japanese fountain-pen paper and mailed in a matching archival envelope.
Because of its length, this format is best reserved for messages that benefit from thoughtful pacing and presence. It is not intended for urgency or volume, but for correspondence meant to be read slowly.
Best for:
Detailed personal letters, significant transitions, formal correspondence, legacy communication
This format requires the greatest amount of studio time and physical effort. Pricing reflects the length, pacing, and attention necessary to produce a fully handwritten letter intended to be read slowly and kept.
After submitting payment, you’ll be automatically redirected to the Commission Form to provide your message and mailing details.

A Few Things to Know...
All text must be provided digitally through the submission form.
I do not transcribe voice memos or type client-provided files.
Physical letters are mailed directly to recipients (I do not return them for signature).
Note card messages must be 1–4 sentences; longer messages will use A4 or A5 paper automatically.
Additional mailing materials (business cards, inserts) are not accepted.
If submitted text exceeds the space of the selected format, the Studio will move the letter to the next appropriate size to preserve the readability and craftsmanship. Any difference in price will be applied before writing begins.
