Ana Duarte Rodrigues is professor of history of science at the Department of History and Philosophy of Science of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. She is the coordinator of the Interuniversity Center for the History of Science and Technology (CIUHCT) for the period 2020-2023. She is the Principal Investigator of the research project AQUA- HORTO AQUAM SALUTAREM - Water Wise Management in Gardens in the Early Modern period (2018-2022) and of SUSBEAUTY – Sustainable Beauty for Algarvean Gardens: Old Knowledge for a Better Future (2015-2020), both funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. She is also the editor of Gardens and Landscapes journal, published by Sciendo.
She is now committed in broaden the sphere of action of the history of science and technology, to such an extent that it can highly contribute to the knowledge of the past as well as deepen our awareness of the planet's fragilities.
