I have over a decade of experience leading research projects and collaborating with diverse teams across Midwestern ecosystems. In all of my work, I prioritize collaboration, creativity, and place-based perspectives to find solutions for pressing environmental challenges.

What I Do

As a researcher, I ask questions, design projects to collect and interpret complex data, and translate those insights into clear, actionable stories for a variety of audiences—from government agencies to local communities. My current work focuses on how plant populations adapt to climate change and, crucially, how land management and policy decisions can support resilient ecosystems.

My Background

My career includes roles as an Institute on the Environment Postdoctoral Fellow and my current position within the USGS Climate Adaptation Postdoctoral Program. I hold a bachelor’s degree in biology from St. Olaf College and a Ph.D. in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior from the University of Minnesota.
