Tommy takes a liking to her when he starts working with Alfie and drama ensues with Alfie’s betrayal and Grace’s return. Her best friend, Harriet, is also a former nurse that, nowadays, owns a very known brothel in London. William, a doctor who served with both of them during the war is someone Daphne carries really close to heart, even when people expect their relationship to be awkward because they’re former lovers. She is a high-class lady that willingly chose to detach herself from her family for thinking differently.
