Dr. Nandi embarked on an impressive academic journey, earning his Master’s degree at the prestigious IIT Madras in Chennai, before advancing to complete his PhD at the University of Wuppertal in Germany. His doctoral research focused on the innovative synthesis of carbohydrate-based biomolecules and their intricate spectroscopic characterization using cutting-edge 1D/2D NMR and HRMS techniques.
Following his PhD, Dr. Nandi expanded his horizons in Raz Jelnik's lab at Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. There, he engaged in pioneering research on quantum dot-based biosensors, which unveiled critical insights into protein misfolding and the detection of intracellular reactive oxygen species. His quest for knowledge led him to a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at Ruhr University Bochum, where he collaborated with Professor Enrica Bordignon to develop sophisticated HPLC methods for the separation of BH3 homology proteins.
In 2018, Dr. Nandi embarked on his independent research career as an Assistant Professor (Inspire Faculty) at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, passionately dedicating over four years. After a brief but impactful stint as an Assistant Professor at SRM IST, he joined the Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis as an Assistant Professor in March 2023, ready to make significant contributions to the field.
