Who is Sylvia Gitter? And why does she love roller coasters?
(And who designed this awesome website?)
The most formative experience of 15-year-old Sylvia's life was drinking a Green Apple Jolly Rancher Slushy.
On May 29th, 2023, Sylvia went to Hershey Park for the first time, drank a Green Apple Slushy, and rode her first rollercoaster. Comet was the first, but wouldn't be the last. Through the next few months, Sylvia went back to Hershey Park, rode every ride, visited her home park, Six Flags America, and fell in love with the rollercoaster. When she entered High School, Sylvia knew that she needed to combine her interest in rollercoasters with the desire to help people, especially children. Thus, Amusement Park Companion was created to help DMV families have the best day possible in Amusement Parks.
To Sylvia, rollercoasters are life, the airtime hills of joy and the midcourse break runs of boredom all encapsulate yet offer an escape from life. The ability to scream your heart out but know there is nothing to fear and laugh without anyone asking you why is why Sylvia will always get back on a rollercoaster. When she isn't planning Amusement Park trips, Sylvia participates in her school's Quizbowl team, watches Doctor Who, and reads.

Clay Gitter, is the 12-year-old little brother of Sylvia Gitter. They are an amateur graphic designer who jumped at the chance to work on this website, to quote him, "Sylvia knows she wouldn't be able to design this website and make it look half-decent (No shade to her, graphic design isn't everyone's thing), so she asked me."
Clay has personally taken the title of The Family Art Kid. When they aren't designing websites for their older sister, he listens to Green Day (or My Chemical Romance, it depends on the day), draws in his sketchbook, watches Shark Tank, practices the drums, reads graphic novels, or writes poetry. And very much unlike their sister, Clay hates rollercoasters. (They have a phobia of heights.)
