Windows 7 is recognized as Microsofts best operating system. This operating system is very nostalgic for many people including me. This operating system came out just 3 years after Windows Vista which flopped. Windows 7 was released in 2009. More people preordered Windows 7 than people bought Windows Vista in the last 7 months. Windows 7 was very stable and could install on just about any computer. More people used Windows 7 than Windows 10 until just about late 2018. This operating system was the last OS to being a Service Pack (SP) to the OS. It only had one Service Pack. Technically it had its second one in 2016. Windows 7 reached its EOL rather recently on January 14th, 2020 and so did support for Windows Server 2008 & R2. For small businesses, they get ESU for the next 2 years, but they have to pay for it and the price doubles, then triples one year after the other. There are ways to get ESU until 2023.
Although Windows 7 has reached its EOL and is vulnerable to viruses, here is how you can still use it safely in 2021. The first thing you need to keep in mind is to download the latest updates for Windows 7. The next thing you need to do is use up-to-date browsers such as Google Chrome. Google Chrome is supported on Windows 7 until January 15th, 2022. You can also use IE11 which is supported until 2022. The next thing you need to do is download an anti-virus such as McAfee Life Save or Avast. You should also make sure when you browse the Internet, you be very responsible and make sure the URLs are legit. Don't download any files you arent sure are safe. Don't enter your personal information either. To make things better, don't connect to the network in general. There are many ways to use Windows 7 offline such as a Media Center or using Retroarch to play old games. This is how to use Windows 7 safely for years to come.
Windows 7 Common Issues & How To Resolve Them Step-By-Step
Since Windows 7 went out of support, you can't activate Windows 7 online. The only method that works today is by activating Windows through a phone. Now don't worry if you don't have a phone, you can use an online activator by Microsoft. Follow this method.

A very common problem people have after installing a fresh new copy of Windows is missing drivers. Sometimes it doesn't even have a name. Sometimes it is listed as Unknown Device or simply Network driver. Follow this method and you should find your missing drivers.
Click the search box in the bottom right hand corner (or click the Windows button.)
Next type Device Manager.
Next right-click on the driver you want to find the driver for.
Click Properties.
Click Details.
Under Property, click the box and click Hardware IDs.
Under Value, right click on the text.
Then click Copy.
Then head over to your browser of your choice (Google Chrome recommended.)
Then in the search, hit Control + V to paste the text, then hit enter.
The majority of the time, a link called Driverindentifier (which is full of scams) will popup, click that.
Then you should see the name of your driver, highlight the text, then right click and click copy.
Go back to Google search and paste the name, but at the end, but the text driverscape.
You should see a link to a website called Driver Scape.
Then on the site click the download button to the driver but make sure it corresponds with your architecture.
