Databases are some of the best places to find information for research. They are NOT websites, but they are found on the Internet.

Databases VS Webpage

• Databases contain information that was printed and published before it went online. Think encyclopedia, newspapers, magazines.

  • • This makes them more reliable and trustworthy than a random webpage.

• Databases are easy to search and find information. They contain hyperlinks to other topics and articles related to your search.

• Databases are easy to cite -- they contain the correct citation that you can copy/paste into Noodletools

• Databases are up to date and updated more regularly than most webpages.

• You have to log into a Database to see the information. This is because they are not free and are paid for by the Library.
