Do you want to explore how molecules can be designed to respond to light and interact with biological systems and change material properties?

The SMART Lab offers internship opportunities for motivated B.Sc. and M.Sc. students interested in chemical biology, organic synthesis, photochemistry, photopharmacology, and material science.

We aim to provide a supportive and stimulating environment for young researchers to gain practical experience and contribute to ongoing research projects.

Students from backgrounds such as chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, life sciences, or pharmaceutical sciences are especially encouraged to apply.

Postdoctoral Opportunities

Highly motivated and enthusiastic candidates interested in pursuing postdoctoral research in our lab are encouraged to apply for independent fellowship schemes such as the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) National Postdoctoral Fellowship (NPDF) and Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India Research Associate (DBT-RA) positions.

Our research focuses on the design and development of smart, light-responsive molecular systems at the interface of chemistry and biology, with applications in photopharmacology and functional materials.

Candidates with a strong background in organic synthesis, chemical biology, photochemistry, or related areas are encouraged to get in touch to discuss potential projects and fellowship applications.
