Dr. Mukund G. Mali has been serving as an Assistant Professor at the School of Chemical Sciences, Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, Solapur, since 2016. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, in 2013. Subsequently, he worked as a Research Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Korea University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, from 2013 to 2016. His research group focuses on developing advanced nano-materials for energy and environmental applications. Specifically, his work involves the synthesis of transition metal-based oxides, sulfides, and phosphides, as well as metal-organic framework-based materials for photocatalytic dye/drug/heavy metal removal, electrocatalytic water splitting and energy storage applications. Additionally, his team is dedicated to creating high-surface-area porous, heteroatom-doped carbon materials for energy storage and adsorption studies. Dr. Mali and his team have published over 50 research articles and hold 2 granted patents.
Dr. Dattakumar S. Mhamane obtained his M.Sc. degree in the subject Inorganic Chemistry from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, India in 2005. He further worked in the field of graphene and obtained his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from National Chemical Laboratory, Pune. Presently he is working as Assistant Professor, at Department of Chemistry, Sangameshwar College, Autonomous Solapur. Recently he has joined as a post-doctoral fellow at Kangwon National University, South Korea. He is working on synthesis of carbon-based novel nanostructures, metal oxides and their hybrids for supercapacitor, batteries, dye degradation and electrocatalytic applications. He is also working on novel synthesis of metal oxide thin films, and their composites using chemical methods such as Successive Ionic Layer Adsorption and Reaction (SILAR), Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD), for efficient dye degradation and various energy related applications. Till date, he has over 42 peer-reviewed research publications to his credit which includes papers and review articles. He is currently elected as Young Associates in Chemical Sciences of Maharashtra Academy of Sciences (MASc), India.
