I am a first-year Ph.D. student at the University of Michigan, School for Environment & Sustainability, advised by Dr. Lauren Gillespie and co-advised by Dr. Elizabeth Bondi-Kelly.
Prior to this, I worked as a Jr. Data Scientist at the Forest Change Analysis Lab (FOCAL), UC Davis. I am also an open source contributor at the Open Forest Observatory (OFO).
My research focus lies at the intersection of AI, remote sensing, and ecology. I am interested in developing multimodal machine learning methods that integrate aerial imagery, field observations, and remote sensing data products for ecological monitoring, biodiversity assessment, and environmental decision-making.
I hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from PES University, Bangalore, India. From co-founding CARAIO Tech, a MedTech start-up, to completing internships at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Intel Corporation, my interdisciplinary professional journey has centered on leveraging computer vision & machine learning to address problems in life sciences.
Outside research, you can find me always listening to music, crocheting, getting into film photography, or petting dogs :)
