Amit Mitra

I am a Research Associate at National Council of Applied Economic Research, New Delhi, India. My research focuses on development economics, international trade and political economy. I have a Master’s degree in Economics, specializing in Trade and Finance, from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Kolkata, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Presidency University, Kolkata. 

Starting in September 2026, I will be joining the University of Leicester as a PhD Candidate in Economics and a Graduate Teaching Assistant.
