"Maritime Alternate Dispute Resolution Association Services" (MADRASS) is (being) registered under Society’s Act in Chennai, India, to offer professional dispute resolution services to Shipping, Trade and logistics encompassing the whole chain, nationally, regionally and internationally.

Our members, all industry leaders with qualifications, experience and expertise in all industry sectors and segments with significant commercial and legal exposure, are available in India and overseas (Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, USA etc) to resolve disputes.

Their exposure varies with Arbitration rules enacted under UNCITRAL.

For India and related trades, we recommend incorporation of the arbitration clause as per Indian Arbitration Act as  amended and  prevalent on date of contracting (or date of dispute notice, with amendments if any in the interim, known to both parties) in all contracts.

Disputants may opt to use the lex loci rules as applicable, if contracted so, choosing the well versed resolver.

"MADRASS" members will be bound by our rules and code of practices and ethics. Their fees will be competitive and commensurate to their experience, reputation and standing in the local / national/ regional circuit together with the complexity of the dispute that needs resolution.
