Advocacy Mentorship Initiative

The Advocacy Mentorship Initiative (AMI) is an experiential learning program for medical students where they are paired with at-risk children and youth and involved in a mentoring relationship.

Medical students will also be paired with residents from Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the University of Toronto. Groups will meet periodically for teaching sessions on various topics related to the social determinants of health in childhood and adolescence using modules throughout the duration of the program.

This program looks for highly committed medical students who would like to give back to their communities while learning more about advocacy, community stewardship, and child development.
