Amherst Summer Swim Team

The Amherst Swim Team participates in the North Coast Swim League which includes Avon, Avon Lake, Bay Village, Mills Creek, Rocky River, and Westlake. The season is approximately 8 weeks long and consists of dual meets (2 teams at a time); a championship meet (all teams at the same time); and special invitational meets (any number of teams at the same time). Dual meets occur at either the Maude Neiding Pool or at an “away” team’s pool. The season culminates with a championship meet between all seven teams.  ASST were the NCSL champions in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013!

We provide a positive atmosphere where swimmers of all ages can attain their goals through the guidance of our experienced and progressive coaching staff.  Together with our families, we encourage team spirit, sportsmanship, and personal empowerment.

Coaches teach proper stroke technique in an environment where kids are encouraged, engaged, and inspired.  Each practice is designed to help the swimmers become stronger and more confident in the water.
