New riders and drivers begin in one of two ways:
Beginner Packages: For those new to riding or driving. Start with an 8- or 10-lesson beginner package (see details below).
Evaluation Lesson ($35, private): For riders with significant prior experience, or returning students who have been away for more than 90 days. Evaluations determine readiness and correct placement before joining a G2+ group.
We are so excited to help you begin your journey!
While most of our intermediate riders go on to specialize in Olympic (“English”) disciplines such as Eventing, our beginner program doesn’t draw a hard line between English and Western.
We focus on the fundamentals: balance, an independent seat, horse care, and stable management.
These core skills apply no matter where your journey takes you: whether that’s chasing cows, trail riding, or jumping around a 5*.
Once you have solid basics, transitioning between disciplines is straightforward.
Designed for new riders to build confidence and basic skills. Each package may be repeated up to 2 times. After that, riders move into our ongoing subscription program at the appropriate level.

The fee is billed once per year (January) or at the time of initial enrollment. (college students are exempt).
Rider Size Guidelines
To ensure the welfare of our school horses and ponies, each program has specific height/weight limits. Please review before registering: riders outside the listed limits will not be able to participate in riding classes (contact us for driving lessons).
Attendance & Cancellations
Tuition reserves a spot in a group. Missed lessons are not refundable and cannot be rescheduled outside the assigned group.
Subscription Tuition
Monthly tuition is due at the start of each month. Tuition is the same regardless of the number of weeks in that month or missed lessons.
Registration & Payment
Lesson spots are reserved only once payment in full is received.
Beginner packages and subscriptions must be paid before the first lesson.
If a student cancels before the start of a session, a refund will be issued only if the spot can be filled from the waitlist.
Horse Care Fee
All riders pay a $25 annual horse care fee (billed in January or at enrollment) to support our school horses.
Breaks in Enrollment
Students keep their original tuition rate only if they remain enrolled without a break longer than 30 days.
A break of more than 30 days means returning at the current new-student rate.
Students who take a break of more than 90 days must also complete an evaluation before rejoining group lessons, to ensure correct placement.
Advancement
Beginner packages may be repeated up to two times. After that, riders must move into the appropriate subscription program.
Use of Own Horse
Riders may use their own horse only at G4 level or above, with instructor approval.
