Jolly Jumper is a safe, fun, and wonderfully dependable 13.2h Welsh/Paint cross who has been a cornerstone of our program for seven years. Started under saddle here and thoughtfully produced, he has carried riders of all ages and abilities — from absolute beginners to confident teens and IHSA riders — and continues to be one of our most trusted mounts.
This pony jumps anything you point him at. He genuinely loves his job, has a great sense of humor, and is a fantastic confidence builder, especially for riders who are nervous about leaving the ground. Whether it’s a tiny crossrail or a tricky schooling exercise, he is honest, brave, and will not say no.
He is beginner-friendly, patient with kids, and extremely tolerant of typical lesson-kid shenanigans. Under saddle he is straightforward, with a soft trot and a very rideable canter. He can get a bit strong if a rider adds too much leg at the canter, but he remains safe, balanced, and adjustable for riders who listen to instruction.
He trail rides, schools small courses, and has participated in countless at-home lessons and schooling shows with a wide range of riders.
Management note: He does best off round bales and thrives on slow-feed nets or flake hay. He also has mild seasonal spring sensitivities that stay fully comfortable with normal, routine management.
Ideal home: A Pony Club, eventing, or hunter/jumper program looking for a reliable, confidence-building small sport pony who can teach correct basics, jump anything he’s pointed at, and safely bring riders up through the levels. He thrives in a structured environment with regular work and is an excellent partner for a junior rider or small teen wanting to develop skills over fences with a steady, honest mount.

Stylish Jo is a sweet, elegant, and athletic 2019 AQHA mare with a lovely way of going. Jo has been in our program for the past 1.5 years and has developed a solid foundation with college riders and confident youth riders. Before that, she was lightly started as a 2-year-old and then enjoyed time off, so she is still developing strength and balance — but she is honest, willing, and enjoys learning.
She has been schooled off-property multiple times, including:
XC schooling (water, small houses, logs, terrain questions)
Hunter/jumper schooling clinics
Trail riding and hacking out in groups
Jo is rider-sensitive and gains confidence from her pilot. She is very straightforward for a calm, capable rider, but can become uncertain if she doesn’t feel supported. With a tactful rider, she is soft, willing, and very rewarding. She goes in a snaffle for all flatwork and jumping.
Ideal home:
A thoughtful Pony Club, eventing, or H/J home where she can continue building confidence and consistency. She is a lovely project for a rider who values sensitivity, kindness, and a willing mind.
