Christmas Special 2023

"Goffik Gurlz" Christmas Special Coming Out!

December 4, 2023

Hello everyone, and happy holidays! I hope this year’s Christmas is a special one for you! And it is for us at Amethyst Studios! Because we are happy to announce another film in the Goffik Gurlz Saga. After the debut of The Infamous Fallout of Tara and Raven in July, we have been doing well! And with the upcoming short I’m The Boss Here, we are slowly, but steadily making some progress in providing the best content for your entertainment!

In response to the short film’s success, we are happy to announce that we have much more unseen footage from the canceled show Goffik Gurlz, the baseline for The Infamous Fallout of Tara and Raven. Even better, this footage, used in this film, is for what was supposed to be a Christmas-themed episode!

The film is going to be titled: A Very Preppy Christmas!

The Official Synopsis goes as this: Christmas is here, and everyone is excited for the holidays. Well... not everyone. Raven the Acidbath Princess of the Darkness is a goth girl who doesn't associate herself with such preppy things! But soon, her friend Kiwi Pastel helps change her mind.

It can, in a way, serve as a sequel to The Infamous Fallout of Tara and Raven, even if the series went unfinished. We thought that, since the holidays are right around the corner, it would be best to release a film centered around Christmas.

What makes this film different from the last one, however, is that some of the footage here has been recently-added footage. This means that while some footage was already previously shot, new scenes have been added and shot to create a complete story, as this episode special did not have as much filmed scenes as the previous film had.

This time, however, Raven Acidbath (Kan Seamount) will be more of the center character. The film follows Raven as she is upset at the very idea of Christmas, since she sees it as a very preppy holiday. Eventually, she changes her mind when she finds out that Christmas is not as preppy as it seems, when she discovers the iconic film, “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. Funny enough, the original episode that came from this footage was supposed to be named after the animated movie.

Ashley Adamian, Rynn Brown, and Alicia Celestine, who played major roles as Tara Gillesbie, Azer, and Britney in the previous film, will be reprising their roles in this holiday special. However, don't get too excited, as their roles will be reduced this time around. But we can't wait for you guys to see them again!

Additionally, there will be two new major characters introduced, both played by Kan Seamount. Just like Ashley Adamian did with Tara Gillesbie and Rose Amethyst in the previous film, Kan will be wearing different wigs to represent the very different characters.

They are named Roxanne Kennedy and Kiwi Pastel. Roxanne is the anime prep friend of Britney and Azer (who will have minor roles this time around) who is excited to host a huge party. She has only one scene, but her charm and charisma adds to the fun Christmas vibe we all are having right now. She is an original character, who was created for the canceled series. If you listen closely, in The Infamous Fallout of Tara and Raven, she was briefly name-dropped!

Kiwi is a pastel goth who is good friends with Tara and Raven. She is the one who introduces Raven to Tim Burton’s iconic spooky yet festive film. In the lore of Tara Gillesbie, she was mentioned in the Author's Notes of Chapter 28, where Tara says “raven hav fun wif kiwi”. Although this was unintentional, in connection to the AN, Raven and Kiwi do hang out together in this, so we can’t wait for you to meet her! Especially since she was part of Raven and Tara’s friend group in the canceled series!

Both characters had extensive lore in the canceled series, but are added here to enhance the world building we did for the series. We get a little more on the world these characters live in, the type of friends they have, and above all, have the fun opportunity to explore different styles and looks, with costume design, to make each of these characters uniquely stand out in their own fun way!

We have added a new actor to the cast. Meet Abigail Ford! She will be playing the minor character dubbed "Sweet Girl", a happy girl filled with a lot of Christmas spirit, that she even shows up at Raven's door, much to Raven's dismay. Even with one small scene, her involvement in the film is definitely a kickstart!

Abigail Ford is a rising actress and a student at the University of Georgia, who is currently majoring in Psychology and Theater. Nearly a year ago, she got into the art of theater, which changed her life for the better! So far, she has starred in a few productions, including a true crime reenactment, but with the classes she's been taking, she is definitely on her way! She will even be joining our other short, I’m The Boss Here, which we are excited to work on, and even help boost her acting career!

On other unrelated news, we are now on the website Medium! While we will continue to publish stories on our website, we will also be publishing on Medium, in order to spread the word! The information and articles are pretty much the same. We're just trying to branch out our brand. We also posted about this film on Instagram. You also may notice other changes to the website, such as a new FAQ section and a Career section. If you'd like to know a little bit more about getting involved in our other productions, these are some good places to look.

We are more than thrilled to release the film to the public! The official release date will be Friday December 15, 2023, on our YouTube channel, where you can subscribe for more updates and watch some of our other films. Thank you for your time, and we hope the holidays are fun for you!
