This year’s Memorial Day event is Monday May 26, 2025.
All veteran, youth groups, business, schools, band groups, city entities and the like are welcome to join the parade. There is no fee or pre-registration for this event.
No political, lifestyle or advertisement of product is allowed during the parade or ceremony. This event is a memorial to those that have given their life in service to our country. There can be no distribution of any materials, handouts or candy during the parade.
No registration is required. If you wish to participate, please arrive at Wheaton Memorial Park not later than 0930 on the day of the event and check in with the members of the American Legion Parade Committee. They will be located at the southeast corner of the park and wearing red ball caps.
You cannot drive into the park area unless you have a vehicle or float in the parade. Participants must drop off marchers outside the park area.
The parade will start at 10:00 am being led by the City of Wheaton Police/Color Guard and Fire Departments. Line-up begins at Hale St and Union Ave heading west to West St and turning south. The parade will end at the Wheaton Cemetery where we will hold a ceremony at 11:00am.

The parade begins at the corner of Hale St. and Union and proceeds west on Union to West St. then South on West St. to Wheaton Cemetery.
