About Me
About Me
I have lived in the piedmont of North Carolina my entire life. Oh, I have left a time or two, but i have always come back. This diverse landscape, from the mountains to the sea, is a part of me. All my memories are here. Though I hold an M. S. degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University and have had a very satisfying career, which included teaching at our local community college, I have found that storytelling is my true passion. I write as I speak -- with a slow Southern drawl. The endless possibilities of landscape, memories and the blessing of a vivid imagination are more than I could have ever wished for. It seems that every step i have taken has led me here to this moment.
I am ever grateful to my editor, Reva Moore, who frequently shakes her head and reminds me that she does not speak Southern. Ms. Moore is a native of Chicago, Illinois and a graduate of Grinnell College. She has worked for The Chicago Tribune, The American Library Association, and The World Almanac and Book of Facts in New York, New York.
