Hello there! My name is Amelia Kamm, and I am a sophomore at Indiana University Indianapolis studying Anthropology and Forensic Science. I grew up in the isolated expanse of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with my younger brother, and I am currently pursuing a career in forensic anthropology, where I study the skeletal remains of humans to help determine the circumstances in which they died. After earning my bachelor's degree, I am hoping to enroll in a graduate program overseas.
"I Am" Statement
I am the oldest sibling out of two children and I was raised by a hardworking mother. To my family and close friends, I am loyal to a fault and have a tendency to be quite weird at times. I am fond of storytelling in all its forms and love to read or play video games in my free time. I am from the middle of nowhere and due to this, I love to explore the world and all it has to offer. I am hardworking and highly motivated to get a degree within the next few years. I love my family and would give them the world if possible, but since it isn't I'll have to settle for making them proud instead. I’m driven to learn new things whenever I can which puts my time management skills to the test.
[Description]
This is a reflection of my identity as a person, student, and blossoming professional.
[Reflection]
For this reflection of who I am currently, I focused a lot on aspects of myself that aren't always seen by the general public. By doing this introspective inspection of my person, I believe that I understand myself a little better and can be a little more proud of my journey to this moment.
