Hello, I'm Ames!

Ames is a Seattle-based ceramicist, tattooer, and multimedia artist whose work draws inspiration from vintage children's books, archival materials, and the embrace of play. Their one-of-a-kind pieces—from cozy night lights and risograph printed illustrations, to handbound books, wood-art, are made to bring more warmth, whimsy, and fun into your life. 

They have been tattooing full time at Hey You Tattoo Collective in Ballard for 4 years and have a bachelors degree in Design from Seattle University. 

Tattoos are a powerful way to express ourselves and feel at home in our bodies. Ames works in a private studio with two other artists and loves collaborating with clients to create a comfortable, consent-based environment.

In  free time you can find them hanging out with their chihuahua, hiking in the backcountry, scuba diving, and generally exploring as much as they can!
