Career Goals and Majors

Kinesiology is the scientific study of the movement of the human body. Under this term is Exercise Science which is the study of human health, wellness, and movement. Because this major covers many broad topics it is a good base for many people that are choosing to pursue education further than a bachelor's degree. I have chosen this specific major because I think that it best suits my interests and covers the topics that I must have completed for grad school. I want to be a pediatric occupational therapist and will use this degree to acquire a background in how the human body moves and how to care for basic injuries that may occur. I want to be a pediatric occupational therapist because of my love for working with kids and my desire to help people succeed in their lives. I have worked with many children and have met so many that are struggling because they are unable to complete certain tasks or because they haven't received the proper guidance from someone to learn on their own. I want to be able to help those children to be able to live the best lives that they can.
