Positive Attendance

Positive Attendance Instructions

For courses with TBA hours with positive attendance these hours need to be tracked and reported to the state. The SARS attendance computer is the best way to track these hours but if you have a student who forgot to log the hours or if SARS is not working you may need to enter them manually when submitting your semester grades in ClassWeb.

Below are instructions on how to do this.

    1. Pass out the “TBA hours log sheet” to your students.
    2. Have students fill out and sign the log sheet and turn it in you. You should have the number of TBA hours students are expected to log for the semester in your course syllabus or can find this in Curricunet.
    3. You need to sign the log sheet verifying the student completed the reported hours.
    4. Enter the total hours attended for each student in ClassWeb when you are submitting your semester grades. This total should be class hours PLUS the TBA log sheet total (example 52 class hours + 18 TBA hours = 70 total hours attended and entered in ClassWeb)
