Amblyo collects nothing about you. This page explains what that means in practice.
There is no account, no sign-in, and no email address.
We do not collect, transmit, sell, rent or share any personal data.
There are no analytics tools, no advertising tools, and no third-party software development kits in this app.
Amblyo makes no network requests at all, other than to Apple's App Store when you buy or restore a subscription.
Everything you do stays on your device, and you can export or delete all of it at any time.
Amblyo saves the following locally, in a database only this app can read:
Profiles you create: a name, an optional birth year, which eye you told us is weaker, and whether you wear correction
Your calibration: screen size, viewing distance, and anaglyph settings
Your practice history: sessions, individual responses, and response times
Your weekly check-in results
Your settings: sound, motion, reminders, appearance
This never leaves your device. We cannot see it, and neither can anyone else.
No name, email address, phone number or postal address
No advertising identifier, and no tracking of any kind across apps or websites
No location data
No contacts, photos, microphone or camera access
No crash or usage analytics beyond the anonymous diagnostics you may already have chosen to share with Apple in your device settings
No device fingerprinting
Our App Store privacy label says Data Not Collected, and that is accurate.
If you choose to connect Apple Health, Amblyo can:
Read your glasses or contact lens prescription, to help set up your training
Write the time you spent practising, as mindful minutes
Health data is read only with your explicit permission, is used only inside the app, and never leaves your device. It is never used for advertising and is never shared with anyone. You can revoke this permission at any time in the Health app, and Amblyo will keep working without it.
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, card number, or Apple Account. We receive only an anonymous confirmation from your device that a subscription is active.
Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction.
Amblyo is designed to be used by children, with a parent or carer setting it up.
We collect no data from anyone, and that includes children. There is no behavioural advertising, no third-party content, and no way for a child to contact anyone through this app. Purchases and settings are protected by a parent gate.
At any time, in Profile → Settings, you can:
Export everything — a file containing all of your data, which you can keep or send to your eye care professional
Delete a profile — removes that person's history permanently
Delete all data — removes everything Amblyo has stored, permanently
Deleting the app also removes all of its data from your device. Because nothing was ever sent anywhere, there is nothing left elsewhere to delete.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top, and note it in the app's release notes. If we ever begin collecting data — which we have no plan to do — we will ask you first.
