Ambilight Tv Box _VERIFIED

Hey All, I have purchased a Philips 65PUS8808/62 recently and on the spesifications it was said that the TV had Built in Ambilight+hue support. On the ambilight settings of the TV I can't see the Ambilight + hue option even though I updated my TV to latest software update. Have you ever had this issue while using Hue with recent Ambilight TV's?

For everyone that is struggling with fixing the ambilight random flickering and the ambilight is made with ws2812b + Raspberry Pi + Arduino there is a few things that each separate one (or any combination of them) can fix the issue. I was struggling few months too. Tried every suggestion on the web (software and hardware), missing one thing that wasn't suggested anywhere. It was not included in any tutorial too. The fix in my case was connecting one of the ground pins of the Raspberry to the grounds of the Arduino and the strip (all of them grounded in the power supply V-). There wasn't any tutorial that was saying that they (3 of them) must have common ground. All suggestions were that I have to have common grounds on the arduino and the LED strip.

I am currently experiencing the same problem, but I am using raspberry pi zero w with Hyperion to get ambilight working from any HDMI input. I was wondering if you could please provide the updated code, so I could test it on my setup??? I have tried everything... nothing worked for me... :o :o :o

You can visualize that behavior by running a video and fullscreen the player (the ambilight should work correct now). Now just let the video running and start the game. You'll still see the visualization of the video, even if on your screen the game completly hides the video, which is still the top-most content on the screen for me.

The integration exposes a single light entity to control the mode of the ambilight on the TV. It allows setting a fixed background color or switching the TV to one of the lounge modes supported by the TV.

Philips ambilight uses this special monitor technology and the RGB LED based bias lighting must be calibrated during production of the TV. This is done with specbos 1211L, integrated into the production system. The device measures the xyY values of the three primaries and based on that a matrix will be calculated to be used by the LED driver.
