Using a link column means I have to navigate to the folder, find the link, copy it, and then add it in Monday. Using the Drive integration would mean that I can find it the same way I find a file. Super useful.

Hi, With DriveSync integration, you can easily connect your board items and files to Google Drive.

Whenever you create a new item, DriveSync will automatically create a folder for it in Google Drive. Plus, it will make sure that the files from your items get copied into their respective Google Drive folders too. Super convenient!

During the GDFD installation, it didn't look or ask for the existing folder location and I now have a newly created folder for it called D:\GoogleDriveCloud. That folder contains a vast collection of cryptic cache folders and files. To access my files now, I need to open a new logical "G:" drive. I currently have many apps linked to files in D:\GoogleDrive so having to change my systems to access G: drive is a major change for me, but I can see the merits of having a dedicated drive for Google Drive to keep the path clean. I simply open G: drive to see my folders. I can live with that.

What annoys me intensely about the new system is the discovery of a subfolder inside G:, namely "My Drive" (G:\My Drive)! Why can't my folders just appear inside G:\ and avoid another double-click to open My Drive? How can I bypass this pointless folder so I can navigate to G:\ClientDocs for example?

As per the document, Folders cannot be copied. However, you can create a base folder structure and then try Batch API to copy all the files at once. I need to review it thoroughly however it should work regardless, you need to be mindful of GDrive API quotas.

If I search for the files in finder window on my MacBook Pro, they show up mapped as "iCloud Drive>TextEdit>Neals Bio.rtf" (see screen shot). But when I click and it takes me to my iCloud Drive folder in my Finder Sidebar, still empty.

Yes, I checked the download folder. I even searched for the folder "iCloud Drive (Archive)", it doesn't exist. That's not a big deal because there is 0 items in the iCloud Drive sidebar anyway.

The Affinity Publisher folder is not visible in the iCloud Drive folder, though oddly I can save a document to said folder. With the document open using the Reveal in Finder menu command reveals the document with the following path: iCloud Drive > Affinity Publisher. Also, the folder is shown with the correct icon and name in its title bar - Affinity Publisher. Yet when navigating back up the folder path (iCloud Drive) is the folder not shown.

Cant figure out how to get the folder there to begin with, mine wants to save to Affinity Designer Folder. Tried resyncing Icloud and it shows that there should be a icloud section or folder i think but nothing shows in icloud.

However, I now have another issue since updating Designer, Photo and installing AP. The folders for Designer and Photo both have a blue Designer symbol now and if I turn Photo in iCloud off it'll take both, Designer and Photo away. While if I only turn off Designer It only takes Designer away...

This is somewhat of a problematic issue to save a file into a folder one cannot see - I know it's saved in the Mobile Documents folder, but not being able to see it doesn't fill me with confidence the file won't disappear.

On one of my Mac last night the Finder froze, unrelated to Publisher. Only way to relaunch it was to do a hard restart. Once back in the Publisher folder suddenly appeared in my iCloud Drive folder. With the correct icon no less.

On my iMac the Publisher offers me to access Affinity Publisher Beta folder (I own publisher since the beginning) but in my iCloud Library this folder is missing and cannot be found by any Finder paths. On the other hand, on my MacBook, Publisher offers me to access Affinity Publisher folder (open context menu), where all of my documents are stored. In my MacBook the Publisher Beta folder is nowhere to be found and vice versa and my data does not sync even if I tagged it, it looks like that the directory for this folders are not in the iCloud anymore...

Asana needs to integrate google drive better so that You can share a google drive folder. Not limit it to just sharing Documents. It would be a better approach than finding creating a link, sharing the link, and posting it to asana.

I am new to using google colab. My code creates a file but right now I have to manually create the folder it is placed in before running the code every time. Is there a line of code that will create a folder in my google drive (which is mounted) in the same way it would a file? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

My solution to the problem was copying the folder to a Shared Drive and sharing access to the drive with the colleagues who had originally shared the folder with me. I would assume it would have also worked if they themselves had moved it from their My Drive to a Shared Drive.

I've attached a USB drive to the backside of my WNDR3400v3 router and followed the instructions to connect to it using readyshare. I've renamed the share to \\Router\USB_Storage. It appears in Windows Explorer as it should as a network "computer" and as a disk drive in the list of drives. I've copied files and directories to it, edited them, saved them and deleted them. It all works just fine, EXCEPT when I log into the router and try to edit the share name or create a new folder. When I click on Edit or Create New Folder, the window refreshes with the same information. It doesn't open the Edit/Create window shown in the user manual.

When you store your Desktop and Documents folders in iCloud Drive, you can access files from your Mac on all your devices. That means you can start a document on your Desktop, then work on it later from your iPhone or iPad and on iCloud.com. Everything automatically stays up to date everywhere.

If you want to store your files in iCloud Drive and another cloud storage service, you can keep copies of your files in both, but you can't keep folders from a third-party cloud service in iCloud Drive. You can keep your other cloud service folders in a different place on your Mac, like the home folder.

You can find your Desktop and Documents folders in the iCloud section of the Finder sidebar. If you add a second Mac Desktop, you can find those files in the Desktop folder in iCloud Drive. Look for a folder with the same name as your second Mac. You can also use Spotlight to search for specific file names.

If you need more space, you can delete files to free up space in iCloud. When you use iCloud Drive and delete a file on one device, it deletes on every device that you're signed in to with the same Apple ID. You can find deleted files in the Recently Deleted folder in the Files app or on iCloud.com for 30 days. After that, they're removed.

When you turn off Desktop & Documents Folders, your files stay in iCloud Drive and a new Desktop and Documents folder is created on your Mac in the home folder. You can move files from iCloud Drive to your Mac as you need them, or select all of your files and drag them to the place you want to keep them.

If you turn off iCloud Drive or sign out of iCloud, a new Desktop and Documents folder is created in your home folder. You also have the option to keep a local copy of your files that are in iCloud Drive. If you keep a local copy of your files in iCloud Drive, they're copied to a folder called iCloud Drive (Archive) in your home folder. You can move any files that were in your iCloud Desktop and Documents to your new local Desktop and Documents.

I accidentally copied the wrong link to very important folder. I copied a link to one of the files instead of the whole folder. Is there a way to get the link to whole folder if the only thing i have is one of the files, and i don't have the google account anymore(it's in the database in this folder).

Example links, to a folder & the two files it contains. There is no correlation between the names, & the apparent folder structures folder or file/d/ cannot be accessed directly by anyone. [The files no longer exist in these locations, this is just for example.]

Not too long ago, Google Drive allowed files and folders to have multiple parents. It was relatively easy to get the parent(s) folder(s) of a file if the user had the appropriate authorization / the file and folder had the appropriate, in this case convenient, sharing settings.

Depending on the file type, you might click the link and look at the file information and details. If the parent folder is shared with you instead of with anyone with the link/on the web, you should be able to see the folder. It might be easier to see by searching for the file using Google Drive, selecting the files and looking at the details panels, the toolbar and the contextual (right-click) menu. Your mileage might vary depending on the type of Google account the edition. If you are an admin or super admin, you might have more features if the file belongs to the organization / domain that you manage.

I recently created a folder on my OneDrive account with Word Documents that i had saved in the folder. Upon trying to locate the folder in my OneDrive, the folders that i had just created, never showed up again. It was really strange, because i was sure that i had created the folders and i was not losing my memory. Then i thought that it might not be showing in my File Explorer/ OneDrive if I still had the Word Document open so i closed the word document and then opened my OneDrive in my file explorer and I still couldn't find the folder that i had just created. After about 10 minutes, i opened the Word program once again and then located the file under,"Recent Documents", then right clicked the file that i had recently created and selected "Open File Location". When i did that, it indeed showed that the file location that i had just created did exist in the pathway i just described, in Word's memory, but it was still not existent in my OneDrive's memory under my File Explorer. e24fc04721
