Hey there! I’m Amber—a former tech nerd turned full-time educator, and I’m all about bringing creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration to the classroom. After years of managing projects, solving problems, and designing solutions in tech, I realized my deepest passion was helping others grow. Now, I’m blending my love for tech and teaching to empower students to thrive in this fast-paced, digital world. Check out my journey, philosophy, and a few student success stories along the way!
I believe learning should be active, meaningful, and built on students’ curiosity. In my classroom, students construct their own understanding through project-based learning, creative expression through art exploration, and technology-integration. My goal is to create a space and design learning opportunities where students feel safe to take risks, make mistakes, and grow—because when learning is relevant and empowering, it sticks for life.
During my Master’s program, I earned a few awards that reflect my passion and dedication to teaching. Here are some of the standout comments I've received:
Our hobbies and interests are more than just what we do for fun—they’re part of who we are. They connect us to our culture, our creativity, and each other. In my classroom, I want to celebrate what makes each student unique by bringing their passions into the learning experience. As such, here are a few of my own hobbies and interests:
Swimming: Hitting the pool regularly.
Music: Always curating fresh playlists.
Video Gaming: Currently hooked on Terraria.
Board Gaming: Currently playing Ark Nova.
Fiber Arts: Knitting and crochet keep my hands busy.
Ceramics: Crafting pottery in my spare time.
Rock Climbing: Both a climber and youth coach. Next up: Moe’s Valley, Utah.
Travel: Just returned from a 6-month European trip with my partner and our dog!
