Mandatory Dress Rehearsal: Friday December 12th at Cardinal O’Hara High School
Performance: Saturday December 13th at Cardinal O’Hara High School 2:00pm
We are excited to announce that we are starting to begin the routines for our annual Christmas Recital! We do our Christmas show a little bit differently than our end of the year recital. Rather than each class performing their own routine, we group some of the classes together by age and they perform a routine together. This makes our show short and sweet while giving the dancers a chance to practice on a stage! Year after year this has been one of our favorite events! Dancers will learn and practice these routines in their classes for the next few weeks. Please refer to the class groupings below. If your child dances in several classes, they may have more than one routine, please double check!!
We typically do not order or charge for costumes for this performance. We will ask dancers to wear something festive from home such as a Christmas dress or holiday sweater. Specific attire guidelines will be sent home before Thanksgiving break. See below!
Participation Form:
Please let us know if your dancer will or will not be participating by using the following link, no later than November 10th so our teachers can accommodate the routines for dancers who may not be able to attend.

Practicing at home:
Please check your emails for an email sent out on 11/25 "Closed For Thanksgiving- Christmas Recital Videos & Ticket Sales" for the link to our Christmas drive. There you will find all the music and practice videos for each class!
Ticket Sales:
Tickets sales will begin on Monday, December 1st at the studio in the waiting room. Tickets are $15 per spectator, and there will be general seating for this recital (no seating chart). Tickets can be paid using cash or checks made out to Amazin Grace Dance Studio (no credit cards.)
Tickets can be purchased at the studio during the following days & times:
Monday December 1st & Monday December 8th 4:30pm- 8:00pm
Tuesday December 2nd & Tuesday December 9th- 4:30pm-7:30pm
Wednesday December 3rd & Wednesday December 10th- 4:30pm-7:30pm
Saturday December 6th- 10am-12pm
NO TICKET SALES THURSDAYS OR FRIDAYS AT THE STUDIO
Tickets will also be sold at the rehearsal on Friday, December 12th and at the recital on Saturday December 13th at Cardinal O'hara at the door.

Required Attire:
Tot Group A & Tot Group B: Fancy/Festive Christmas dress or outfit - ballet or jazz shoes (tights are recommended)
Mini Group A & B: Christmas pajamas with a leotard underneath. Dancers wearing a nightgown must also have tights on. Group A - ballet shoes Group B - jazz shoes
Mini Group C & D: Christmas pajamas with a leotard underneath - NO NIGHTGOWNS FOR THIS GROUP - barefeet
If your dancer is in more than one Mini Group, please do not bring multiple pajamas for each dance. We have this age all wear the same things to avoid changing and to make it nice and simple for the dancers.
Junior Group A: A black leotard (if your dancer does not own a black leotard please see us), and black pants (leggings preferred, no sweatpants or jeans) - jazz shoes.
Junior Group B: Christmas shirt, and black pants (leggings preferred, no sweatpants or jeans) - barefeet
Teen Group - Christmas shirt/sweater/sweatshirt, black leggings - barefeet
Pointe - Harry Potter Costume, pink tights, ballet/pointe shoes
Musical Theatre - long sleeve solid green shirt, black leggings - jazz shoes (Leads see Miss Kourtney)
Junior Comp - Any solid black leotard, tan tights - lyrical shoes
Teen Comp - White leo (from last year's tap), tan tights - jazz shoes
Senior Teen Comp - Black opening dress from last year, tan tights - bare feet
Competition Line - A solid white dress, a winter scarf, tan tights, white or black shorts or leotard - black tap shoes
Grace, Miss Abby, Miss Aubrey - See Miss Abby
Adult Class - See Miss Kymber
Senior Class of 2026 - See Miss Kourtney
If your dancer needs TIGHTS for any of these dances, we sell tan and pink tights at the studio for $10-$12. Please see Miss Megan to purchase a pair!
Dancers may wear their hair any way they wish but it must be UP and out of their face. Dancers cannot wear their hair down. Competition Teams must wear a center part, low ponytail.

Rehearsal Information:
Rehearsal will be held at Cardinal O’ Hara High School on Friday December 12th.
Attendance at the Dress Rehearsal is mandatory for Christmas Recital participation. If a dancer does not attend the rehearsal, they will not be allowed to perform in the recital, unless you have already notified us and made arrangements. Please find your group in the schedule below. Dancers must attend the block with their routine only. Please arrive 20 minutes early to check in, this is listed as the “call time” in the schedule. Each group will go through their formations and run the dance a few times. We will also run our “bow” which includes all of the dancers, at beginning of each block . After the choreographer has dismissed their group you are free to go home!
Dancers must wear their attire to rehearsal! (Please see attire descriptions above)
If your dancer is wearing tights, please make sure they are free of rips or runs. Additionally, tights worn for routines with bare feet need to be STIRRUP or CONVERTIBLE. They cannot go OVER the dancers’ feet. We have tights available for sale at the studio.
Hair can be however you wish, but it must be pulled out of the dancer’s face! We encourage everyone to have fun with it!! If you are putting something in your dancer's hair (Ex: a bow) make sure it is pinned down and secured. (The Pointe class and the competition dancers must have a low ponytail and center part)

Block #1: Call Time: 4:15 pm 4:30 - 5:45: Teen Comp, Sr. Teen Comp, Junior Comp, Pointe, Seniors
Block #2: Call Time: 5:25 pm 5:45 - 7:30: Both Tot groups, All Mini Groups, Mommy & Me, Adult Class
Block #3: Call Time: 7:10 pm 7:30 - 9:00: Musical Theatre, Comp Line, Both Junior Groups, Teen Rec Group
Recital Information:
Our show will be held at Cardinal O’Hara High school on Saturday December 13th at 2:00pm.
Dancers must be checked in backstage, dressed in their first costume, no later than 1:30pm. (Show order will be available the week of the show!)
Doors open at 1:00pm. Tickets are general admission, $15 each, cash or check only. Every spectator will need a ticket.

Practicing at home:
Cut versions of the music as well as videos of the routines will be uploaded to our Christmas Recital google drive before Thanksgiving break. When that is ready we will send you an email with the link. Please use these tools to practice at home! Make sure to practice using your smile!
