Christmas Recital routines have officially begun! We do our Christmas show a little bit differently than our end of the year recital. Rather than each class performing their own routine, we group some of the classes together by age and they perform a routine together. This makes our show short and sweet while giving the dancers a chance to practice on a stage! Year after year this has been one of our favorite events! Dancers will learn and practice these routines in their classes for the next six weeks. See class groupings below. If your child dances in several classes, they may have more than one routine, please double check!!

Practicing at home:

Cut versions of the music as well as videos of the routines have been uploaded to our Christmas Recital drive and will be shared via email! Please use these tools to practice at home! Make sure to practice using your smile!

Rehearsal & Recital Information:

Rehearsal will be held at Cardinal O’ Hara High School on Friday December 10th.

Masks are required when the dancers are NOT PERFORMING ONLY. They must keep them on backstage before and after their performance for both the rehearsal and recital. Please bring a ziploc bag with your dancers name on it to store their mask safely when they are dancing.

Attendance at the Dress Rehearsal is mandatory for Christmas Recital participation. If a dancer does not attend the rehearsal, they will not be allowed to perform in the recital. Please find your group in the schedule below. Dancers must attend the block with their routine only. Please arrive 20 minutes early to check in, this is listed as the “call time” in the schedule. Each group will go through their formations and run the dance a few times. After the choreographer has dismissed their group you are free to go home!

Dancers must wear their attire to rehearsal! (Please see attire descriptions in the chart attached) Unless noted otherwise by your choreographer, hair can be however you wish, but it must be pulled up & out of the dancer’s face! Light stage makeup is encouraged so the dancer's face doesn't become washed out by the stage lights.

Rehearsal Schedule:

Block #1: Call Time: 4:40pm Go Time: 5:00 - 6:30: Teen Rec, Teen Comp, Sr. Teen Comp, Pointe, MDYK

Block #2: Call Time: 6:10pm Go Time: 6:30 - 7:30: Tot, Mini A, Mini B, Emma, Comp Line, Mommy & Me!

Block #3: Call Time: 7:10pm Go Time: 7:30 - 8:30: Junior A, Junior B, Mom’s

Recital Information:

Our show will be held at Cardinal O’Hara High school on Saturday December 11th at 2:00pm.

Dancers must be checked in back stage, dressed in their first costume, no later than 1:30pm.

Doors open at 1:00pm.

Masks are required for all spectators. Again, dancers must have their's on whenever they are not performing.

Ticket Sales:

Currently, the school can have a capacity of 500 in their audience. This allows for 3 spectators per dancer and then some. Tickets are general admission, $15 each. Every spectator will need a ticket. We will have each dancer’s 3 tickets saved for you to purchase, the extra remaining tickets will be available for purchase - first come first serve. If you will not need all 3 of your tickets, please let us know so we can add it to the extras! Please keep in mind that Covid protocols are constantly changing and these circumstances are not guaranteed. We will of course notify you of any changes in their protocols immediately!

You can purchase tickets with cash or check only!

If we are not sold out, we will sell tickets at rehearsal and at the door the day of the show.
