This event was hosted by the University at Buffalo's Department of Media Study and sponsored by Paula's Donuts. This event served as a way for students in DMS121, taught by Bernard A. Dolecki, to both see other student work in a semester where classes were 100% virtual and to showcase such student work to the UB community and family. This event was hosted over Zoom.
Each student would present their work with an accompanying 15 minute presentation showing off the functionality of their code, talking about some of the back-end components, talking about the design process of the project, and fielded questions from other students and audience members. During these presentations, the audience had the opportunity to open the projects on their own computers and play with the code, giving the opportunity to simultaneously interact with the project as it was being presented.
For the conclusion of the event, three different awards were given from the department. The award of "Best Code-Based Interactive Work" was given to my presentation and project.
