Below are the guidelines of how user art is being submitted, collected, and displayed. If your work violates these rules, it will not be shared with the community.
Amateur Artist's goal is to promote a space where people feel free to express their creative abilities and explore what others in this community have created. As well, the hope is that there is a connection with others and the ability to enjoy creator-based work. These guidelines below establish a common code of conduct to help set a welcoming environment that can be a safe space for everyone.
There is great care taken into the health of individuals who are part of this community. With this in mind, there will be no toleration of images depicting content of suicide, self-harm, and/or disordered eating. While there may be such feelings by those of the artist, we do not promote such content on this site.
We believe in an inclusive community and individual expression without the fear of abuse. There is no toleration for the shaming, bullying, harassment, or humiliation of other member's works. Works that include content that depicts harm or intimidation towards others, insults other individuals on the basis of physical attributes or personality traits, encourages harassment, or wishes death, disease, or serious harm towards individuals will not be featured. The following attributes are protected from harassment and hateful behavior: disability, ethnicity, gender, identity, nationality, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation.
There will be no toleration for that of nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit content. As well, we prohibit content depicting non-consensual acts and sexual solicitation. Any work made depicting sexual exploitation and/or abuse (defined here as being in a position of non-consented vulnerability for the purpose of sexual purposes) is not permitted. As well, this applies to content that features or is overtly revealing genitals, breasts, anus, or buttocks, or displays/implications of sexual activity. We recognize that these are all forms of online work, but this content may be offensive, inappropriate, and unsuitable for members of this community of all ages.
Fake engagement includes any content or activity that seeks to artificially promote engagement on this platform. Examples include but are not limited to a blank canvas, a single dot, and scribbles using one color. Spam is up to the discretion of the reviewer.
We do not promote content that relies on shock value or graphic content. This includes content that gratuitously shocking, graphic, sadistic, gruesome, or that promotes/glorifies extreme violence or suffering. Do not share work that depicts violent/graphic accidents or death, gore, physical torture, the death of animals, or animal cruelty.
