During my Fall 2017 semester at West Chester University I was privileged to take a course in which I could explore the world of technology and learn many tech tools that I have never learned before. This course was set up to show technology tools that benefit the world of teaching and learning. The course title is EDM 349, which is why this page is titled EDM 349 course artifacts, but this course is more than just a technology course. This course has been a critical component towards earning my degree as an Education major. Because during this course we have created a portfolio that demonstrates all the forms of technology that we have not only learned how to use ourselves but have learned how to use them within our classroom.
1. Creating an ePortfolio (Week 1-2)
- Creating an ePortfolio involved learning how to use google sites and creating a page. It is important because it demonstrates all of the technology that we used in this course.

- Standards & Models of EdTech (Week 3)
- This task involved reviewing the standards and models of technology. We learned how to embed a picture into our site and we also learned about the technology standards and models while doing so.

- Next Gen Prensentation Tools (Week 4)
- This task involved teaching a lesson that we would teach in the future using technology. We had to make a video and embed the video into our e portfolio.

- Swift Playground & Coding (Week 5)
- This task involved learning how to code. It would be a good form of technology to use in teaching when trying to make games for students to learn material etc.

- Planning and Creating a screencast (Week 6-7)
- This task involved finding a technology tool that you would use and learning how to screencast. This was essential for learning the technology tool but also how to screencast it and show others what it has to offer and why they should use it. Than we learned how to upload it to youtube and add it to our portfolios.

- Collecting and Organizing information:Google Forms (Week 9)
- This task involved creating a google form in which you could use in your future classroom. Learning how to do this is extremely useful as we can incorporate this into our future teacher portfolios for parents to fill out information regarding their child. We can also use it for students as a questionnaire.

- Social Networking (Week 10)
- This task involved creating a professional account on Instagram, Pintrest and Twitter, the idea was to network with other educational professionals. This is important because networking within your profession is critical for your professional development.

- Digital Story Telling (Week 11)
- This tasked involved creating a digital story that could be used for a lesson in your classroom. The video I created would be used to show cultural differences, my video is my family. Students can create a video of their family and tell their story.

- Planning for Video in the Classroom (Week 12-13)
- This task involved creating a lesson plan and demonstrating how it would be completed using video applications. This is important for learning how to integrate video technologies within the classroom.

- What's Next? (Week 14)
- This task involved researching what the next big addition will be to future classrooms and student learning. This is important because everyday things change within our society. It is important to be familiar with all the new forms of technology that can enhance students learning.
