I contribute to the public debate and media on topics such as civil servants, politicization, ministerial advisors, ministers and the ministries. Below there are links to a selection of interviews and contributions to the media and the public debate. If you are a journalist and want to get in touch, please contact me on my mail amt@ps.au.dk.
For an updated list of media contributions, see here. You can also follow me on Bluesky @amalietrangbaek.bsky.social or LinkedIn.
TV appearances e.g. Deadline (DR2), TV2 NEWS and PhD Cup (DR2).
Radio appearances e.g. P1-morgen, P1-Orientering, Go' Morgen P3 and Formiddag på 4'eren (P4).
Other media appearances e.g. podcasts with Altinget Ajour on the permanent secretaries' roles and on how working in the Ministry of Finance contributes to my research. I also appear in LinkedIn videos condensing my PhD or disseminating knowledge on the workings when administration and politics meet.
I regularly give presentations to a wide range of audiences. This includes public talks designed to appeal to general audiences, e.g. at Folkemøde, but it also includes more specialized talks crafted to meet the interests of various organizations, e.g. ministries, municipalities and regions. Concurrently, I give talks at conferences, e.g. the leadership conference organized by King Frederik's Center for Leadership.
There are several newspaper articles based on my research, e.g. in Information, Weekendavisen, Zetland, Politiken, Berlingske, dr.dk, Mandag Morgen, DJØFbladet and Altinget.dk. You can find links to some of the articles below. Please find a list of media appearances here.
I also contribute to the debate on the civil service by writing features, e.g. concluding on Dybvadudvalgets report in Information, clarifying aspects on politicization at Altinget.dk and describing the role of ministers and senior civil servants when government shifts at Altinget.dk.
