Hi! I'm currently an NSERC Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Guelph in the Cognitive-Affective Neuroscience Lab, where I work with Dr. Mark Fenske.
I completed my PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Waterloo with Dr. Daniel Smilek. My doctoral research investigated the relation between oral contraceptive use and attention-related traits and states. My prior work also examined individual differences in cognition, attention during lectures, information search behaviours, media multitasking, and flow.
Prior to graduate school, I completed my undergraduate work in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour at McMaster University. I also worked briefly as an analyst at a bank, and completed a degree in English literature.
Outside of academia, I can be found in spin class, running, doing yoga, and chasing after our dog Finn - before indulging in my reality TV obsession.
