University of Georgia, College of Engineering
Jan, 2024- Present
Key responsibilities: Hydrologic modeling, Best Management Practices, Water Quality Analysis
Modeling hydrologic response and water quality components such as sediment, nitrogen, and phosphorus loads under changing land use and climate using SWAT, and evaluating integrated urban–agricultural management strategies to improve watershed resilience in the Chesapeake Bay.
Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System for Africa and Asia (RIMES)
Jan, 2023 - Dec 2023
Key responsibilities: Hydrologic modeling, Forecast data processing, Flood forecasting, community outreach
Worked on developing and improving probabilistic flood forecast models for the northwestern Bangladesh using ECMWF ensemble forecasts, developed a flood impact model for the same region to bolster a forecast-based anticipatory action framework for northwestern Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Water Development Board
October, 2021
During my short 2 week affiliation with BWDB, I was taught first-hand about the practical applications of the theoretical knowledge that I gained as a Water Resources Engineering Student.
Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology
February, 2021 - May 2022
Developed flood forecasting models using four supervised machine learning methods (deep neural network, random forest, Catboost regressor, LSTM), using data products from ECMWF reanalysis datasets, and GRACE-retrieved GLDAS datasets, in NetCDF format
