ROBOTICS.

PROUD MEMBER OF BREBOTICS AND SPLITBOT.

A big part of my engineering + STEAM journey in high school was robotics. And unsurprisingly, Robotics has been some of the msot fun I've had in high school, being involved in it in every year I've been at the school. I've experienced every aspect, and multiple teams + competions. Whether it was through building, or portfolio, and now my mainstay, media work, robotics is among my greatest extracurrculars and achievements. We formed our team via going to robotics club, and I met a couple of people also eager to do robotics, so we all decided to form a team, Split Bot. We've gotten a lot of achievements with Split Bot.

In the FTC Centerstage Competition 2023-2024, we have achieved many feats including:
- Average of over 50 points
- Winner of Finalist Alliance in Bolton Qualifiers 1
- Winner of 2nd place for the Innovate Award
- Did all this as a Rookie Team!!

In the FTC Centerstage Competition 2023-2024, we have achieved many feats including:

- TOP 30 IN ONTARIO (VIA PROVINCALS)

- WINNER of the 2nd Place PROMOTE award I made!!
- Average of over 50 points
- Winner of Finalist Alliance in Bolton Qualifiers 1
- Winner of 2nd place for the Innovate Award
- Did all this as a Rookie Team!!

RIGGING SYSTEM

A simple system where two U brackets would latch onto the bar, with the power powering the arm itself to lift the robot up.

ARM/INTAKE

Arm is sturdy, but not too heavy, with it's main component being the amount of gears we have which is around 9 to help stabilize the arm's movement. Claw design, with rubber bands built to enhance grip. It is able to pick up two pixels at a time with no problems at all.

On the team I helped in all aspects of the process of the robot. I helped build the hangman, arm and helped in other areas from time to time. I helped build the skeleton for our Autonomous mode. On my robotics team, I was the main manager for the engineering journal, which is a very integral part in our Robotics tournaments. The journal documents the robotics features, outreach and how we worked as a team to get to this point.

AIRPLANE/DRONE LAUNCHER

The airplane launcher would use an elastic band to push the aircraft forward and a servo attached to the gear to release it.t would be on the right side of the chassis to provide clear landings.

CODING

The coding included a Tele-Op mode and a Autonomous mode. the Tele-Op mode enables our robot to move in all directions, have the arm move in all directions, and enable our other aspects of the bot. While Autonomous, helped us park in the backstage, without any human functions.

Our robot can execute every aspect in the FTC Centerstage competition. Including an 180 degree arm with a claw, made up of rubber bands, capable of picking 2 pixels and dropping them onto the board. It also has a working rigging system on it's arm, with a paper airplane launcher made out of rubber bands at the bottom. Our robot's chassis and the overall build itself is made from Studica robotics parts, which in relation to that, we have had very little resources to build with. But we still pulled it off, creating this beats of a machine. The build has 3 motors, and 4 servos, with omni wheels at the front, and normal wheels at the back.

FTC INTO THE DEEP

THE SWITCH.

After competing with SplitBot, I thought I was done with Robotics. But when the senior team Brebotics approached me to be their media lead, I couldn't refuse to not go into the world of FTC again. I love being on the team, the experience is otherworldly and being their video editor helps me pursue my passion and tinker with Robotics at the same time. I used my skills to upgrade teh Brebotics social media sectors, strengthen our platforms, and create media that captures the meories of our Brebotics team for years to come.

FTC DECODE

FTC DECODE was arguably my most ambitious and my most succesful season to date. This is where my role as media role shined the brightest and impacted the most people through various social platforms. This is where the WHOLE Brebotics team, from build to outreach to business trusted me with my role with no doubts. I upgraded myself as the lead phtographer as well, and upgraded my camera gear profusely in attempts to create the best media sector.
