Mountaineering Courses

THE CLUB ACTIVITIES:

The healthy adventure sports activities of the Club provides a sound base of building character qualities develop sense of comradeship and prepare youth to face the challenges imposed by the practical life, Nature lovers of all age groups can participate in the Club activities commensurate with their physical fitness, training and experience. The Club Activities are, therefore designed to accommodate varying degree of interest capabilities of the mountain and Nature lovers from trekking and rock climbing in the low hills to high attitude mountaineering in the North areas. All there activities provide the challenge and adventure to the participants with at most personal safety. Participation in the adventure sports and activities however require some sufficient training equipment and clothing may prove to be at times hazardous. Mountaineering and expeditionary climbing requires highest standards of physical and medical fitness.

We organize activities using venues that are within easy reach of your location. Hotel & conference center grounds delivering teambuilding activities, school & youth centers delivering outdoor teambuilding activities, local parks delivering teambuilding & outdoor adventurous activities mountain biking, raft building, mountain rescue, rock climbing, abseiling, gorge walking, problem solving, archery, mountain rescuer exercises, etc., Residential courses are tailor made around your aims & objectives & can be delivered at venues throughout the country.

The training activities are aimed at promoting the Club objectives and facilitate its members

Though following activities have been planned during the year, however customized coursed for specific activities can be arranged for groups from educational Institutions/Clubs/Organizations.


Other Activities of years

1. Basic Rock Climbing Course (BRC):

The course is designed to provide fresh training to novices at Kashmir side. The syllabus includes learning of rope work. Use of hand and foot holds on the rocks. Belaying. Abseiling and use of anchorage. Basics of camping etc.

2. Elementary Mountaineering course (EMC).

The course is designed to prepare participants for mountaineering. The syllabus includes learning of skills and enhances experience in rope work, hand and foot holds on the rocks. Techniques of basic snow/ice climbing, self arrest, snow/ice anchorages. Camping. Mountain geology, route finding. Environmental mountaineering. And expeditionary planning.

3. Trekking trips:

These trips are planned for the students and other members who want to enjoy hiking in green. And lower north side in Azad Kashmir.

Duration 10 Days from jeep head

Mountaineering Expeditions:

Alpine club of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Expedition to G-2 (8035mt), Spintik Peak, Sirwali peak (20750ft) Hree Parbat (17699ft) (A.K) Malka Parbat (17356ft)(P.K) and Nerimall peak (16920ft)(A.K) in 2001, This options for all years. All interested persons including ladies to contact the Club
