Rules and Regulations:

This contract will be used between the Judges (Elmore Dickstein and Jonathan Pierce), the contestants (any person who submits the sign-up form and receives a confirmation e-mail form the AlpinCup team), and the sponsors (Modellseilbahn DoppelWihr, SN Model Ropeways, and Flatiron Lifts). The AlpinCup is sponsored by third party companies in which the AlpinCup judges have no influence on. Therefore, the AlpinCup can accept no responsibility for the third parties products, actions, and terms. Additional fees may arise in which the contestant is responsible for.

The Judges will grade each submitted video equally and fairly using a select scoresheet found on the AlpinCup website. After scoring, the Judges will submit the scores to the sponsors, informing the sponsors of what the contestants have won. The sponsors will send the promised products to the contestants who have won them. The promised items have been documented. All contestants must abide by the rules of the competition which can be found below. Disciplinary consequences will be enforced by the judges.

Rules:

  1. The contestant must have a video that is between 90 seconds and ten minutes long. If the video is not in this time frame, the video will not be graded and the contestant forfeits the opportunity to win any judging prizes.

  2. Collusion or manipulation of any of the judging, voting, contestants or sponsors will NOT be tolerated, this will result in disqualification.

  3. Contestants will provide 10 seconds of advertising per video, per sponsor, and must have at least five 3x5cm signs on their race slope, per sponsor. If these requirements are not met, the contestant will be deducted a number of points determined by the judges and will be ineligible to win any prizes from the sponsor(s) who were affected.

  4. Contestants may not vote for themselves. If they do, their vote will not be counted.

  5. Sponsor signs must be clearly visible on the racing slope. If not, they will be ineligible to win any prizes from the sponsor(s) whose signs are not visible.

  6. Unwanted interactions between the contestant(s) and sponsors is strictly forbidden. In the event of unwanted interactions between sponsors and contestants, they will be asked to stop. If the contestant is asked to stop communicating more than once, three points will be deducted from their final score for each message sent after being asked to stop for the third time. If a sponsor is sending unwanted messages, they will also be asked to stop. After being asked to stop communicating for the second time, the sponsor will be ineligible to sponsor the 2021/2022 AlpinCup. Some contestants own or are employed by non-sponsoring companies. Interactions between these two companies are allowed if they are discussing legal matters. Messages in these conversations that are non-legal related will be documented as an unwanted interaction. If the company is owned by or employs multiple people, all participating employees and owners will be deducted points and the total warnings will be will be an add up of all unwanted interactions.
