Idea: Problem and Solution

The system will be titled "Aloha". As the Hawaiian word for both "hello" and "goodbye", Aloha is the perfect word to describe a system where you can visit with loved ones from both present and past.

Although there are plenty of methods for capturing images and video of loved ones and sharing them online, all of these approaches fall short of preserving the complete picture of a person, their character and their mannerisms.

Aloha will capture a person's idiosyncrasies in an animated, interactive, 3D avatar and allow users to view and share these models online within an easy-to-use web interface.
