Milestone Two

Requirements and Users

The user community was determined to be mostly comprised of closely-knit families, users wishing to preserve the likeness of their loved ones (i.e. parents/grandparents), and users wishing to preserve their own likeness for other generations. There are many similarities between the Aloha community and online genealogy communities as they both allow the user to identify their place in the family timeline and leave their own mark if they so choose.

The key characteristics of these users are as follows:

· 83.3% of users are aged 45 years or older (Hill 2011)

· 65% of users tend to be female (Hill 2011)

· Users have limited computer skills and limited Internet knowledge

The following are the user identified requirements that will be included in this system.

· Allow users to access the Aloha system through a web browser without installing any applications or plugins

· Allow users to register and log in to the online application

· Visualize Ahola avatars in 3D

· Control avatars in 3D - Zoom, Rotation, Translation

· Select the avatar background

· Enable hands-free 360 visualization

· Enable static visualization

· Control interactions

· Share avatars on social media

· Upload avatars
