By using our website or making a booking, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, you should not use this website or our services.
1.1 Almas Ramly Services Ltd is a UK-registered company that operates as an online platform connecting customers with independent contractors who provide home services, including but not limited to cleaning, handyman tasks, and gardening.
1.2 We act solely as a booking and payment intermediary. We do not carry out any services ourselves, nor do we employ or manage the contractors.
1.3 By using our platform, you agree that you are entering into a legally binding agreement with us, governed by these Terms and Conditions.
2.1 Independent Status: All services are carried out by independent contractors who are self-employed individuals, sole traders, or limited companies. They are not employees, agents, or partners of Almas Ramly Services Ltd.
2.2 Vetting and Approval: Every contractor is vetted by us and is required to be Checkatrade approved, ensuring that they meet a recognised standard of reliability, qualification, and service quality.
2.3 Service Contract: Your contract for the delivery of the booked service is directly with the independent contractor. Almas Ramly Services Ltd acts only as a facilitator and is not a party to the contract for services.
3.1 Booking Confirmation: When you book a service through our website, you will receive a confirmation email including details of the service, estimated price, date, and time.
3.2 Payment: Payment is taken by Almas Ramly Services Ltd at the time of booking. Funds are paid directly into our business bank account and are not held in escrow.
3.3 Service Completion: After the contractor completes the service, you will be asked to confirm your satisfaction. Once confirmation is received, we pay the contractor their fee as agreed in our contractor agreement.
3.4 Non-Completion or Unsatisfactory Work: If you are not satisfied with the service or if it was not completed, you must notify us within 5 calendar days of the scheduled service date. We will investigate the matter and facilitate a resolution, which may include a partial or full refund, a re-visit, or another appropriate remedy.
3.5 Refunds: Refunds will only be issued where we determine that the service was not delivered as described or where cancellation occurs within the terms outlined in Section 4.
4.1 By Customer: You may cancel or reschedule a booking at no charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled service time. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the service fee.
4.2 By Contractor or Us: In rare cases, a booking may be cancelled or rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and offer a full refund or alternative appointment.
5.1 Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when booking a service. You are responsible for any additional costs resulting from incomplete or inaccurate instructions.
5.2 Access: You must ensure that the contractor has safe and timely access to your premises on the agreed date and time. Missed appointments due to lack of access may be treated as a late cancellation and may be chargeable.
5.3 Safe Environment: You must ensure that the working environment is safe and complies with all applicable health and safety laws and guidelines. Any hazards must be disclosed in advance.
5.4 Cooperation: You agree to cooperate with reasonable requests from Almas Ramly Services Ltd or the contractor during and after the service delivery, particularly in the event of a complaint or dispute.
6.1 Our Responsibility: We are responsible only for the provision of the booking and payment platform. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or quality of work carried out by the contractors.
6.2 Cap on Liability: Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the use of our services (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant booking.
6.3 Exclusion of Indirect Losses: We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income, loss of opportunity, or damage to property (unless due to our negligence).
7.1 Initial Resolution: If you have a complaint or issue, please contact us in writing at almasramlyservices@gmail.com within 5 calendar days of the service date.
7.2 Mediation: We will act as a facilitator in resolving disputes between you and the contractor. If a resolution cannot be reached, we may suggest an independent mediator.
7.3 No Legal Action Against Platform First: You agree not to initiate legal action against Almas Ramly Services Ltd until a reasonable attempt has been made to resolve the issue through our complaints process.
8.1 Contractor's Insurance: All contractors are required to hold valid Public Liability Insurance and, where applicable, Professional Indemnity Insurance. We request evidence of this as part of our vetting process.
8.2 No Coverage by Us: Almas Ramly Services Ltd does not provide insurance for the services rendered and accepts no responsibility for damages, injuries, or losses arising from the contractor's work.
9.1 Compliance: We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 in relation to the collection and handling of your personal information.
9.2 Privacy Policy: Please refer to our separate Privacy Policy for detailed information on how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data.
10.1 These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
10.2 Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10.3 We operate in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002, and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.
