This series is a collection of posterized and traced images of an antique doll. Despite being the same image, each version conveys different moods based on the colors, such as psychedelia, uncanniness, ominousness, timelessness, or caution.

In this piece, I combined the definitions of the names of my family members. My father's name means "mountain," my mother's name means "princess," my brother's name means "eagle," my sister's name means "angel," and my name means "noble."

Aeon is a character created by my friend and I. He is a crystal child that lives in a dream-like realm. Despite having the whole place to himself and being able to conjure up almost anything he wants within seconds, he lives a lonely life. That is why he spends most of his time watching through “windows” into other dimensions, wishing he could have someone to interact with.

In this illustration for one of my original novels, I experimented with blending modes and textures to create a vivid and antique feel—The same feel one might get from an aged love letter. One hidden detail is how the liquid blots, which are signs of weathering, consume the lovers like they are being consumed by time. This plays into their story of how time challenged them as they tried remaining lovers while being apart.

In an action-drama novel of mine, these two characters are lovers. Or rather, they were lovers.
When you look at this piece, allow the title and your imagination to tell the story. What are these characters saying to each other? Are they pulling towards or pushing away from each other? What could be going on outside the frame? Is the conversation taking place after a battle? Before a battle? During a battle?
I love creating art that evokes imagination. Allow yours to run wild.
