Guard The Pin

Equipment: Pinnes/Sashescones (to mark out playing area)ballpins (or similar to knock down)
Grade level: 3-8
Focus - Move to create space on court for safe passing; communicate; keep head up to ensure good vision; pass strongly and directly using an appropriate pass (chest, under or over hand); passes should be caught with two hands.
How to play:
2 teams of 8-12 of players are organised in as in video. (depending on how much space you have)
1. The game starts at the end of the court after coin flip to see who starts. 2. Players must make at least three passes before passing the ball to one of their players who will try to knock the opposition pin down. 3. Normal netball rules apply with players in possession of the ball not begin able to move (they must pass and move). 4. In addition, if any player drops the pass then possession is handed over to the other team. 5. The end player is replaced after a score is made. The game is played for a set time and the team with the highest score (1 point every-time you knock your cone over) wins.
Variations - Increase difficulty: Set a time limit, a set number of passes has to be made before the end player can receive ball, player at end has to score a goal, use smaller ball e.g. tennis ball to improve hand and eye coordination. Decrease difficulty: Have more attackers than defenders, smaller areas. more points for certain players etc

Bench Ball

Grade Level: 3 - 12
How to Play:1. To start game teacher/coach passes ball into the centre court. Ball is gathered by players and passed to team members in direction of their bench.2. The aim of this game is for teams to work together in a team and fill up their bench (or mat) with all their players (except 1 because you can’t pass to yourself) 3. Players must pass and move! (ball carriers may take 3 steps and then pass but then they must move into space)4. This is a great game for both defence and attack. Players need to be on the ball and thinking about where they need to be so that they are successful in both defence and attack.5. If the team with the ball drops it, or it is intercepted then the other team carries on with possession and can then begin their attack! 6. Ball may not be slapped down on purpose. If this happens the ball remains with the team who had the ball last.

Kick Ball

Equipment: Pinnies/sashes bases/hoopsSoft round ball.
Grade level: 3-8
Focus - Kicking (Striking) to spacePassing, catching, communication, teamwork, timing of kick.
How to play:
1. 2 teams of 8 -10 players. One kicking (striking) and 1 fielding.2. 1 player on the fielding team is the roller (pitcher) and rolls the ball along the ground.3. The kicker (striker) may kick the ball into space and run to the next base. 4. To get a kicker out the fielding team can catch the ball on the full or tag/throw the ball at the kicker who is running in between bases. If this happens the kicker must retreat to the side. 5. If the kicker is able to kick the ball into space and run to all the bases and make it home in one turn then this is a "home run" and is worth 5 points.6. Once all players have had a kick teams swap so that fielding team may attempt to beat opponents score.

Variations: - 3 person out (once 3 players are out teams swap, a tough rule that could mean players miss out)- 3 strike rule (miss the ball 3 x and you're out, again choose who you do this with) - Not have a pitcher and kicker kicks from stationary position (beginner)- Fielder can also pass to the pitcher who calls "STOP!" if they do this before kicker gets to a base they are out.

Players will attempt to be the first team to get all of their players into the opposite endzone first.4. Players who get tagged when in the opposite teams half sit down where tagged.5. Tagged players can be ‘saved’ by teammates who safely and successfully get to them and return them back to their half without getting tagged. (These players can't be tagged once sitter is "saved")6. Players that have made it safely to the opposite side can also leave the endzone to save someone they see sitting, but, then must take the free walk back to their side.7. If the teacher (or student in charge of reffing) yells, “YOSHI” then all players make a mad rush to the mat (even if they were sitting because they were tagged, they can get up and run to the mat).First team with all players in he opposite endzone to where they started wins.
