As of yet I work through schools and will travel to the child and provide an hour of play therapy. I will be communicating to you as to where will be best for you and the child.
Following our first contact, often by phone, email or face-to-face interview in schools, I will carry out an assessment of your child's skills. This would be through discussions with yourselves and occasionally teachers, observing the child's play and formal assessment forms as required in this field.
By the next week, I will discuss my findings and recommendations with you. Then write a report outlining what hopes to be achieved through the play therapy sessions.
If therapy is needed the child and I will meet weekly at the same time and place for consistency. I will have a room filled with different toys for the child to play and once a week for an hour we will meet to 'play'.
Please note if you are not the parent/ guardian or carer of the child you will need to obtain permission before I am able to see the child.
