The 'classic' fly fishing setup for trout is a dry-fly line with either a dry-fly at the end, or a dry and dropper rig. This is what most people think of when they think of fly fishing. Beautiful aerial casts, soft presentations and trout that is sipping on the surface.
To master fly fishing with a floating line and there is a lot you need to learn. How to read the water, what flies to use, how to cast, how to handle the fly-line, etc. These are the things we focus on during a dry fly fishing outing.

Euro Nymphing for trout, one or two persons, $250/outing
The euronymphing outing will take place on the Litiz Run which is a healthy spring-creek fishery with large trout. It's a great stream for euronymphing since it has many pools, riffles, and hidden pockets.
We will walk along the stream and target hideouts while perfecting your technique. If you already know how to euronymph you will receive location-specific guidance, and if you are new to euronymphing then you will receive instruction on how to do it successfully.

Fly fishing for Brook trout, one or two persons, $250/outing
Lancaster County and York County have great opportunities for brook trout fishing. These beautiful native trout are a blast to catch and where you find them you also find beautiful nature.
We'll walk upstream along a small wooded stream and target pools and pockets. You will learn where to find Brook Trout, how to approach them, and what to offer them. Depending on your skill level we will work on your technique and make sure that you are able to cast without getting snagged.
