Half-day float on the Susquehanna,
one or two persons, $350/trip
The Susquehanna is an excellent bass-fishery and catching bass on the fly is a thrill!
This is a 5-6 hour float where we work the edges of the river as well as hard to reach areas between rocks and riffles in search for fish. The use of a three-person raft which gives us the ability to reach areas not accessible to wading fishermen and hard-bottom boats.
If you are already experienced with fly-fishing, then you will appreciate the attentiveness of the rower and the opportunity to focus on fishing while having the boat position for you. If you are new to fly-fishing, then this is a great way to grow since you will have an experienced guide with you, able to give you advice.
Full-day float on the Susquehanna,
one or two persons, $400/trip
A sligtly longer float where we work the edges of the Susquehanna as well as grassy islands and shallow areas in search for fish.
We will float the river slowly with a three-person raft which gives us the ability to reach areas not easily accessible to wading fishermen and hard-bottom boats.
This float takes around 7-8 hours depending on conditions and it allows access to another part of the Susquehanna than the half-day float. While it is slightly longer, you will appreciate the ability to focus on fishing while your guide positions the boat for you and helps you with practical details such as fly-choice, technique, and finding fish!
Full-day float on the
Juniata,
one or two persons, $450/trip
The Juniata is a recognized fishery with a healthy population of hungry bass. You will not be disappointed!
This is a 8-9 hour float where make our way between two access points on the Juniata river. Using a raft makes it possible to reach areas not easily accessible to wading fishermen and to those using hard-bottom boats.
Because this is a longer trip than the Susquehanna trip, it is better suited for those already experienced with fly-fishing. The guide will take you to prime fishing spots, strategically position the boat, give you input when you need it, help you select flies, and generally be of service to make it a memorable fishing experience.
