Designing The Box- Internal Components
These components were replicated in SolidWorks by my partner and I. They were created to be added into our boxes to create a realistic model. I made the switch and the battery pack, and my partner made the limit switch and the motor. The relay switch and motor each have rotating arms.
Limit switch design. It has a rotating switch top.
Switch design. It has a sideways rotating knob.
Battery design, made to fill up the same amount of space as the batteries.
Motor design. Includes the rotating part of the motor on the sides.
Design of The Box
The theme of my box is a pond with a lily pad, where a frog comes out of the lily pad to eat a fly. The hinge of the box is the lily pad with the surrounding walls being water. The arm of the box is a frog, and on top of the switch is a fly.
First half of the box. It includes holes for the inside components
Second half of the box. It contains the hinge part and the sides. The hinge rod is connected to this half of the box.

3D Print (Test Prints)
First print of box hinge. The hinge did not rotate properly.
Second hinge print. With a smaller rod, the hinge works and rotates fully.

Third print, part of the arm that connects to the rotating motor. Print was created to test the fit of the part onto the motor.

Circuit Components
The circuit components used for this box consist of a battery pack, a switch, a relay switch, and a rotary motor. To properly connect these components, they were soldered and secured with heat shrink.

Completed Box
The print of the box got completed, but I was unable to connect it to the circuit in time. Due to soldered parts coming apart as I was attempting to fit the circuit into my box, I did not have time to add the heatset inserts necessary to complete the assembly of my box.
