Professional Development at Elim Christian School
-In Spring 2021, I created a presentation on how to teach executive functioning skills to students with special needs through remote learning. The poster discusses some strategies that teachers can use to teach skills such as organization and time management, as well as provides a description of what executive functions are and when it is best to teach executive functioning skills.
Critter Barn Committee Project
-In Spring 2021, I was put into a committee group with my classmates to work together on several projects. One of these projects was to create a webpage about how Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is used at the Critter Barn in Holland, Michigan. The Critter Barn is the first location in the U.S. to be completely structured with UDL, which means that it is fully accessible to all individuals. Our webpage provides some background information about the Critter Barn, and then explains multiple aspects of how UDL is present at the Critter Barn.
