Just this past weekend I participated in this holiday gift show with my own small business. I wasn't the biggest fan of the original flyer that they put out for the event so I decided to vamp it up and give it a little bit of a more modern look.

PRINCIPLES OF DESING

Color: I chose to use simple Christmas colors which are shades of greens and reds in my wreath and berries.

Shape Tool: I was able to use the shape tool to make the little berries that I added to my wreath.

Text tool: Was used to create all of the font on my flyer.

Repetition: I used shades of green as well as red throughout my flyer to create repetition.

I wanted to challenge myself to make a more complex flyer compared to my more simple wedding announcement that I had done previously.

After looking through my feedback I decided to change a variety of things. First I changed the size from a 5X7 to an 11X14 to better fit the size for a flyer. I then made Logan smaller and Cache Valley Media Group and Holiday Gift Show bigger. I then added a few of my lines to single lines to create more space. I really liked this suggestion, it really helped me a lot. I also removed the work entry.
